Tips about Drippers vs. Misters: Which One Should
You Choose?
Where
water conservation is critical, many customers
prefer drippers over misters. Flow rates can be
adjusted down to one pint per hour with the
non-corroding PVC regulating valve. Misters,
however are more successful when used to wet
foliage, since birds may actually bathe in the mist
created by both Rock- and Leaf-Misters. Still
more dramatic results are attained if the wet
foliage drips into a bath or pond
system.

DRIPPERS
Drippers
are one of our most popular products. They can be
used to provide dripping water in pedestal baths,
ground level baths or water gardens and ponds. The
dripping water is a powerful attractant to
birds.
The
Avian Drippers are available in three styles,
dripper with rock base, dripper with pebble base
and as a pedestal dripper.

TIMER:
Water timers conserve water by turning your
mister or dripper on only at certain times of
the day. The Orbit® water timer has been
selected for reliable shut-off at the low flow
rates encountered with misters and drippers. It
can be set up for up to 4 different on-off times
in a given day and set differently for each day
of the week. It can also be set in an every
other day mode as required by some local
ordinances for outdoor watering. Operates on two
9 volt batteries.
